Salaar is one of the much-anticipated films this year. Even though Darling Prabha’s graph this year didn’t work out, with his films becoming disasters at the theatres, all the fans of the actor raised expectations of Salaar, directed by Prashanth Neel of KGF fame. Since its release, the film has stunned everyone with its box office collections.
However, its unusual box office collections in Northern states over the last two days drew everyone’s attention and suspicion. Today, a few of the audience used the Dunki process to reach cinemas to watch Salaar, which was shown Housefull as the morning show.
Shah Rukh Khan fans exposed Salaar film corporate booking. The bookings on online shows were houseful but at the theatres, there wasn’t a single person arriving for the film and the box office scam got exposed as few people who booked for early shows were told at the theatres that the film would start from 9 am show.
However, the film runs successfully in theatres, collecting Rs 23.50 crore, with the total nett collection of Salaar at 278.90 crores, approaching the Rs 500 crore mark globally. It became the sixth film to cross India’s 500 crore mark this year.
