It’s a massive project. There are no two words about it. But increasing the budget by 40 crores more seems to be going really overboard. Yes, we are talking about the most prestigious project in Prabhas’s career, Salaar. According to grapevine talk, the makers of Hombale Films are so confident about the movie that they are ready to spend as much budget as the director or the script demands. It’s being said that the director of the film Prashant Neel wanted to film two fights in the movie in a never before way, which increased the filming cost by a whopping Rs 40 crores. Producer Vijay Kirangdur, who is pretty confident about the movie, assured Neel that he would spend whatever the budget needed. Vijay said that they are setting the bar high in a recent interview. Well, one has to wonder if the bar is regarding the budget?
For the past few movies, it’s become increasingly difficult for the makers to collect the amount they have poured into the projects. This doesn’t seem to affect the KGF makers at all. While Neel, being a director, will wish for as much a budget as possible, the trade pundits warn the producers to be careful while splashing the money. While Prabhas plays the titular role, Shruti Hassan, Prithvi Raj Sukumaran, and Jagapati Babu were roped into essay key roles
