RRR is not a Bollywood film, says SS Rajamouli

There is no need for any special introduction to Rajamouli and RRR film. Rajamouli has emerged as an international brand post by this Jr NTR and Ram Charan starrer.

The film team recently attended Golden Globe Awards where Naatu Naatu from his magnum opus won in the Best Original Song category. He has now garnered attention for an unexpected reason. During a screening, he made sensational comments while talking about Bollywood.

During a recent media interaction, SS Rajamouli said that RRR is not a Bollywood film and explained his logic behind using songs in the biggie. He said that every song in his film takes the narrative forward. He clarified that the songs here don’t break the narrative as is often the case with Bollywood flicks.

Speaking at the event, he said “RRR is not a Bollywood film, it is a Telugu film from the South of India where I come from, but I use the song to move the story forward rather than stopping the film and giving you a piece of music and dance. I just use those elements to move to story forward,”.

These comments are going viral mainly in North media. RRR is a fictional saga, set in pre-independence India and revolves around their friendship and highlights their fight against British rule.
