Rock Ends Fight With Vin Diesel: Coming Back to Fast & Furious

Vin Diesel and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s reconciliation was announced on Instagram, along with his eagerly awaited comeback to the “Fast & Furious” series.

Johnson announced the news on Instagram, writing: “Last summer, @vindiesel and I put all the past behind us…We’ll take care of the franchise, the characters, and the fans that we adore by leading with brotherhood and resolve. Johnson revealed in a selfie video from his home in Hawaii that his much-loved character Luke Hobbs will return in the upcoming episode of the action-packed series with a radiant smile.

Johnson highlighted their close relationship by saying, “Me and Vin, we have been like brothers for years,” and that “plans that are much bigger than ourselves, those bigger plans are the north star.” Johnson also noted the deep link they have with Diesel. The ‘Black Adam’ actor emphasised that they used their shared vision for the franchise’s future as their compass for coming to this important choice. The conflict between the two actors was well-known, especially during the making of 2017’s “The Fate of the Furious.” Johnson’s character, Hobbs, had been AWOL from the main series since then and had only appeared in the 2019 spin-off “Hobbs & Shaw” with Jason Statham, while Diesel remained a key figure in the franchise as Dom Toretto.

Fans got their first look at the reconciliation when Hobbs made a surprise appearance in the post-credits scene of the most recent film, “Fast X.” In the sequence, Jason Momoa’s Dante Reyes, a villain who is out for blood for the murder of his father, confronts Hobbs. The tense exchange prepares the two characters for an epic clash, leaving viewers eagerly anticipating the next film.
