Waltier Veerayya, Megastar Chiranjeevi’s new show, is arriving around the Sankranti festival. It won’t be wrong to say that the movie came out with the best title in the second inning of Chiranjeevi. Director Bobby, a fan of Chiru, gave a very catchy title to the film. This title became a big attraction to Mega fans.
These days, it is rare for a superstar to make a movie with the old pen name of Veerayya. Bobby revealed an interesting story behind the title when asked in media interviews as part of Waltier Veeraya’s promotions.
When the shooting of Venky Mama was going on, Nazar, who played a key role in it, gave me a book. The name of the character, Veerayya, impressed me. That’s when I told my team to make a film with that title.
Chiranjeevi, meanwhile, has a special connection to the name Veerayya. Before Chiranjeevi entered the film industry, a head constable, a friend of his father, paid Rs 500 for a photo shoot. To shoot such images, Chiranjeevi travelled to Madras. I knew that Veeraiah was the name of the constable. It made me feel nostalgic, and then I decided to work on a movie bearing the same name as the one I had previously fixed, Veerayya. This title also appealed to Chiranjeevi greatly. Waltier is crucial to the plot of the film. Thus, we’ve included it in the title. I created this movie as a fan to be everything the general public would want from Chiranjeevi. Bobby declared that he will undoubtedly fulfil the demands of the fans.
