Ravansura struggles at the box-office

Mass Maharaja’s recently released film, Ravanasura, is not holding up too well in theatres. The film registered an underwhelming opening day collection of Rs 6 crore in India. During the weekend, the action drama witnessed a 50 per cent drop and earned just a total of Rs 7-8 crore on Saturday (April 8) and Sunday (April 9).
While the film registered a mixed opening at the box office, the collections seem to be declining since then. According to reports, the film has been made on a budget of Rs 50 crore.
However, it looks like Ranavasura could end up as a huge disappointment and the film is heading towards disaster. On Monday, the film is estimated to have earned Rs 1-1.2 crore net in India. This takes the total collection to Rs 14.1 crore at the domestic box office.
If the film doesn’t pick up momentum, it could be pulled out of theatres later this week.
Ravanasura is a psychological action thriller directed by Sudheer Varma. The film’s story is written by Srikanth Vissa. The film features Mass Maharaj Ravi Teja, Jayaram, Sushanth, Murali Sharma, Anu Emmanuel, Megha Akash, Daksha Nagarkar and Pujita Ponnada in pivotal roles.
