Sita Ramam actress Mrunal Thakur is all set with her upcoming crime thriller titled ‘Gumraah’ starring Aditya Roy Kapur.
The film is a remake of Ustaad Ram Pothineni‘s Red, the crime thriller. Aditya will be seen in a double role for the very first time in two completely different avatars. Mrunal on the other hand will be seen playing a cop. Same as the Telugu Red film, this thriller film will showcase an intense face-off between Aditya and Mrunal.
Gumraah will be hitting the screens this coming Friday. However, Ram’s Red film has hit Mrunal Thakur’s film very badly because just a few days ahead of Gumraah’s release, the Hindi dubbed version of Red is now available on the Goldmines Tele Films Youtube channel. Ram Pothineni has a good fan following up North, and most of his Hindi dubbed films will get record-breaking views on Youtube.
So releasing the Hindi dubbed version of Red when the Hindi remake is up for release will surely have an effect on the box-office prospects of Gumraah. So, we have to wait and see how the film will work at the box office.
Helmed by debutant director Vardhan Ketkar, ‘Gumraah’ is being produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series and Murad Khetani’s Cine1 Studios.
