According to ANI, the film was set to release earlier on February 15. But now it will hit the screens on May 10, 2024. Sharing the update, Rajkummar Rao captioned the poster, ” A remarkable true story that will open your eyes! #Srikanth, earlier titled SRI, releasing on the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya, May 10, 2024″

According to reports, Srikanth is based on the visually impaired industrialist Srikant Bholla. In addition to founding Bhollant Industries, Bholla was the first blind student to enrol in the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Management Science program. The movie, which also stars Jyotika and Sharad Kelkar, was initially scheduled for release in September last year. Still, it was pushed back to February and is now scheduled for May.

Rajkummar last appeared in the 2023 drama film Bheed, directed by Anubhav Sinha and centred on the 2020 COVID-19-induced lockdown. He also seemed optimistic in the critically acclaimed crime comedy series Guns and Gulaabs with Raj and DK.
