Dhanush
Tamil actor Dhanush is lined up with several films and is set to cross the magical mark of 50 films. Actor-director Dhanush will be taking the great responsibility of playing the role of maestro Ilaiyaraaja in the upcoming biopic based on the latter’s life.
According to recent buzz from inside sources, Director Arun Matheswaran is rumoured to wield the megaphone for Ilaiyaraaja’s biopic. The filmmaker worked with Dhanush in the recently released Tamil film Captain Miller.
Interestingly, another surprise is that legendary veteran actors of the Tamil film industry primarily will do a memorable cameo in the film. They are expected to play themselves in the biopic, given how each of them got iconic albums from the composer. If the news is accurate, it will mark Dhanush’s first time working with the stars.
While the project sounds exciting, the makers have remained tight-lipped about the film’s updates and progress. With Ilaiyaraaja biopic yet to get a title, it will be bankrolled by production banners Mercuri Movies and Connekkt Media.
