Ace film maker Mani Ratnam’s magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan-1, adapted from Kalki Krishnamurthy’s novel, will be available to stream on Amazon Prime Video from November 4. As of now we can watch with pay per view basis on Amazon Prime Video itself.
As per trade reports, more screens have been added for the movie. Ponniyin Selvan-1 has made over Rs 480 crore globally and will soon reach the benchmark of Rs 500 crore club.
The story of this historical drama narrates about Chola dynasty and focuses on the imperial power struggles that are taking place as Emperor Sundara Chola’s health deteriorates.
Produced by Lyca Productions and Mani Ratnam himself, Ponniyin Selvan-1 had start studded cast includes Chiyan Vikram, Aishwarya Rai, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Trisha Krishnan, Prakash Raj, Sarath Kumar, Sobhita Dhulipala and Aishwarya Lekshmi in pivotal roles.
