The highly anticipated Maniratnam’s epic historical film Ponniyin Selvan hit the big screens on September 30 last year. National film award winner filmmaker Mani Ratnam’s much-hyped magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan is based on the writer-activist Kalki Krishnamoorthy’s novel of the same name. The film bagged good collections across the nation.
The latest news is that the movie’s Telugu-dubbed version is set for its world television premiere on February 19, 2023. Confirming, Gemini TV shared an update that the film will premiere on their channel on February 19 at 6 PM.
Ponniyin Selvan’ is a brilliant story based on the early life of prince Arun Mozhi Varman, who later became known as the great Raja Raja Cholan. Made with a massive budget of Rs 500 crore, the film casts actor Vikram, Aishwarya Rai, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha, Jayaram, Sobhita Dhulipala, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Vikram Prabhu, Ashwin Kakumanu, R. Sarathkumar, R. Parthiban, Prabhu, Prakash Raj and Rahman in the lead and pivotal roles.
