The ticket pricing system is proving to be a tricky one for Tollywood. While films like RRR and KGF 2 have benefited from the high ticket prices, others have struggled big time.
In view of the depleting footfalls at cinema halls, the Producer’s Guild has decided to reconsider their stance on the ticket price hikes.
“Members of the Active Telugu Film producers guild have told to Distributors explicitly that Hiked rates are not working out. Nizam Exhibitors are also worried. Guild will meet very soon to discuss Pricing & OTT impact!” a report on Twitter read.
This confirms that the ticket pricing model in Nizam is subject to change and a related development might take the centre stage very soon.
The hiked ticket prices have impacted films like Acharya and Radhe Shyam and it might well cast a negative effect on the film industry, as a whole, if not handled well in the near future.
