The all-time bombshell actress Priyanka Chopra is living her life to the fullest. The actress’s acting prowess has been not only distinguished her in Bollywood but also in Hollywood. She has participated in several intriguing international projects and will soon be seen in Citadel, a film by the Russo Brothers that also stars Richard Madden. The actress appeared in two popular music videos before working on Hollywood movies, In My City ft. Will.i.am and Exotic ft. Pitbull, for which she also provided the voiceover. On a recent podcast, Priyanka was asked a question about her decision to relocate to the US for employment. For the first time, Priyanka talked about it openly and admitted that she had issues with several actors in Bollywood and was sick of politics.
“So how do you decide you want to even put yourself through that? Why’d you decide to put yourself through that and then what was it?” asked Dax Shepard, to which, Priyanka replied, “I’ve never said this so I’m going to say it because you’ll make me feel safe.”
She claimed that while Priyanka was filming Saat Khoon Maaf, Anjula Acharia of Desi Hits called her after spotting her in a video. She remarked that she had heard the tape and was asked if a music career in the US would be of interest. Regarding the portion she never discussed, Priyanka revealed that it took place when she was also trying to leave the Bollywood industry.
“I was being pushed into a corner in the industry (Bollywood). I had people not casting me, I had beef with people, I am not good at playing that game so I kind of was tired of the politics and I said I needed a break,” said Priyanka. She added, “This music thing gave me an opportunity to go into another part of the world, not crave for the movies I didn’t want to get but I would require to schmooze certain clubs and cliques of people. It would require groveling and I had worked a long time by then that I didn’t feel like I wanted to do it.”
Priyanka Chopra traveled to America when the option to work in music presented itself, where she met Jay Z, and worked with Pitbull, Will.I.Am, and Pharell Williams, among others. She did, however, add that when her singing career didn’t pan out, she soon learned she was much better at her “day job.” After that, she went on auditions for acting jobs and eventually won the part in Quantico.
