Searchlights Pictures who is distributing the film ”Poor Things” released the official trailer on social media platforms. Poor Things is directed by Yorgos Lanthimos and based on the novel of the same name and screenplay by Tony Mcnamara.
Poor Things is a story of a young woman Bella Baxter played by Emma Stone is bought back to life by scientist Dr Godwin Baxter played by Willem Dafoe under Baxter’s protection, Bella is eager to learn. wanting to see more of the world, Bella runs off with Duccan Wedderbun played by Mark Ruffalo, a sick and debauched lawyer, and travels across continents. Free from the prejudices of her times, Bella demands equality and liberation.
Poor Things is one of the most breathtaking trailers recently released. The visuals and the sound are so satisfying and extraordinary. The cinematography and costumes look incredible. It’s good to see Emma Stone back after a long time and her transformation into ”Bella Baxtor” is remarkable. The casting seems so perfect and it is Yorgos Lanthimo’s best production design so far. Poor Things was produced by Element Pictures, Fruit Tree and Film 4 productions.
