Director Mani Ratnam’s dream project Ponniyin Selvan: Part 1 tasted stupendous success. The film hit the theatres on September 30 and bagged almost 400 crores. The film ended on a cliffhanger and now, all eyes are on the film’s second part. According to reports, Ponniyin Selvan: Part 2 is likely to hit the theatres on April 28, 2023. However, an official confirmation regarding the release date is yet to be out.
Meanwhile, the latest buzz is that the film team revealed a poster which marked that there is going to be a juicy update on Ponniyin Selvan at 4 PM tomorrow.
This film is based on the popular Tamil literary novel of the same name, written by Kalki Krishnamurthy. Currently, Part 2 is in the post-production phase. According to trade reports, the film is likely to release on April 28, 2023, during the summer holidays. If everything goes as per plan, Ponniyin Selvan will be released in April.
This film stars a star-studded cast including Chiyaan Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha, Karthi and Jayam Ravi in lead roles. Prakash Raj, Sarathkumar, Prabhu, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sobhitha Dhulipala and Vikram Prabhu play supporting roles. The film’s music is composed by AR Rahman.
