Starring Prabhas, the much-awaited film Adipurush, has hit theaters today across the world. The mythological drama is a retelling of the Hindu epic story, Ramayan. Directed by Om Raut, the film has Prabhas as Lord Ram, Kriti Sanon as Sita, Sunny Singh as Lakshman and Saif Ali Khan as Ravan.
The movie is made on an enormous budget of Rs 500 crore and pre-bookings of the film bagged enormous response. Meanwhile, audiences who watched the film are commenting that more than a mythological film, Adipurush seems like a commercial film. The problem in Adipurush mainly as per the audience is the director thought to make the narrative commercial and mass with the modern-day mass movie sensibility. Even the VFX is said to have been designed to suit the over-the-top masala on offer. All these issues appear majorly in the second half. Though few praised the first half, most of the netizens are commenting that the second half is not worth the wait.
In such a scenario we have to wait and see how the film is going to work at the box office.
