Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui who is busy with Venkatesh Saindhav film a day back filed a defamation suit in the Bombay High Court seeking ₹100 crore damages from his former wife Aaliya Siddiqui alias Zainab Siddiqui.
Meanwhile today, Aaliya opened up about his allegations. She said, “Nawazuddin has reached out for a settlement but I haven’t responded to the same yet. Divorce will happen, that’s for sure and I will also be fighting for the custody of both my kids. Nawaz has also filed for custody but I will not let that happen. Both my kids want to stay with me and don’t want to live with him.”
“I am currently staying in a rented apartment, which I had to vacate by March 30, but I requested a one-month extension as I am unable to find another accommodation. Societies are refusing to give me property on rent because of this dispute”, she added.
Aaliya went on to claim that the place she and Nawazuddin own is also on rent. She said, “That place is also on rent and we cannot suddenly ask the tenant to break the contract and leave. But hopefully, all troubles will end soon and we can live at peace in our small home”.
