Nani is riding high on the success of his recent films, consistently delivering blockbusters at the box office. His latest hit, “Hi Nanna,” has further solidified his position in the industry. Now, he’s gearing up for his upcoming release, “Saripodha Sanivaram.”
Nani achieved a significant milestone with his film “Dasara,” which crossed the 100 crore mark at the box office. Directed by Srikanth Odela, “Dasara” marked Nani’s first venture into the 100 crore club.
Dasara Sequel?
The action drama, set in the coal mines of Telangana, also featured Keerthy Suresh as the female lead. There have been rumors circulating online about a possible sequel to “Dasara,” with Nani and Srikanth Odela reuniting for the project.
However, fans are puzzled about the prospect of a sequel, as the story seemed to conclude in the first film. While there’s speculation about a sequel, it has been confirmed that there’s no such project in the works.
Director Srikanth Odela is currently occupied with another film, the details of which will be announced soon. The film is said to be under pre-production works with soon slating to commence the pooja ceremony. Although there’s an idea for a sequel to “Dasara,” it’s still in the discussion stage and may not materialize.
Nani Work Front
In the meantime, Nani has several projects lined up. He will be seen next in the action thriller “Saripodhaa Sanivaaram,” slated for release in August 2024, directed by Vivek Athreya. He is also in plans to revive HIT 3 which hit a roadblock a few days ago.
The action drama is a superhero film and Priya Bhavani Shankar is the heroine. Nani will be seen as a man who has special powers only on a specific Saturday in this film. Additionally, Nani has also committed to a film with the director of “Balagam,” titled “Yellamma.”
