Dasara is a film in that Nani backed his hopes. He wanted the film to click at any cost as it was his biggest budgeted film and a lot of stakes were riding on it. But the manner in which the film has opened up has shocked the trade pundits as well. The film made 38 crores gross worldwide on day one which is huge for a Nani film ever. The film has grossed over ₹100 crores worldwide, the makers announced on Wednesday. The makers had organised a grand success meet, where they announced that the film has breached the ₹100 crore club.
In the recently held mega success meet of the film, Nani expressed his gratitude to the industry. Nani said “Always remember, if you ever thought of doing something and anyone says you can’t do it, you can know what dialogue to say. Thank you so much once again for a very very memorable success. It will be a forgettable moment for me always. So many people from the industry supported me and Dasara. Mahesh Babu and Prabhas Anna especially supported me with a tweet on Dasara. The proud directors SS Rajamouli and Sukumar sir also. Thank you to everyone who supported and made it reach to you guys.”
Directed by debutant Odella Srikanth and featuring Nani in the role of Dharani, it also stars Keerthy Suresh, Shine Tom Chacko and Dheekshith Shetty in key roles.
