Mrunal on South Indian films..

Mrunal Thakur who is known as Sita by Tollywood moviegoers reveals her attention to South Indian films. She said, “Working in the South has broadened my perspective on cinema, and it has made me realize that cinema is a global phenomenon. However, what I find truly commendable about South films is the depth they give to each character. Every character, both on paper and on screen, has a well-defined arc that adds richness to their portrayal.

In South cinema, characters are intricately developed, with layers and complexities that reflect real-life individuals. They are not one-dimensional; instead, they possess flaws, struggles, and aspirations that resonate with the audience. The filmmakers in the South understand the importance of character development in enhancing the overall narrative.

What sets South films apart is their ability to transcend language barriers through the depth of their characters. Even if you don’t understand the language, you can still connect with the power and emotions conveyed by these well-crafted characters.

On the professional front, she had 3 projects in her kitty in South India. One with Nani titled Hai Nanna, is slated to release on December 21st of this year. The second one is with Vijay Devarakonda under Parasuram Petla’s direction. Dil Raju is bankrolling this untitled venture.
