Akshay Kumar is famous for his biopics and for taking up incidents from historical and heroic events, giving a tribute to unsung heroes and he sure hasn’t disappointed us this time around as well.
Akshay Kumar in the lead as Jaswant Singh Gill, acts as the unsung hero that saved drowning, suffocating people at the Raniganj coalfield incident. The braveheart was known across the globe for saving the lives of 64 miners with his intelligence, nearly 30 years ago. He had risked his own life by going down the borehole in the capsule to evacuate the miners who were stuck in the underground coal mine, Mahavir that was inundated with water n 1989. A few years ago, Gill passed away the age of 80 due to a cardiac arrest.
After working together for Kesari, Parineeti Chopra and Akshay Kumar are back to share screen space for their next husband-wife role. Akshay Kumar’s last movie was OMG 2 which was a superhit. His specialty of taking us marginalized characters has shone through his career in the past decades. Parineeti Chopra, on the other hand, is currently busy celebrating her life post-wedding.
The movie Mission Raniganj is releasing in theatres on October 6th, 2023.
