Manjummel Boys Box Office

Manjummel Boys continues its phenomenal run at the box office, defying expectations and captivating audiences even in its fourth week. The Mollywood film saw a resurgence in collections during its fourth weekend, earning 2.1 crore on Friday, followed by a significant jump to 3.85 crore on Saturday and a strong finish with 4.75 crore on Sunday.

With its impressive fourth-weekend performance, Manjummel Boys has crossed a major milestone by reaching a net India total of 107.75 crore after 25 days. The movie’s overseas success continues, amassing a collection of 65 crore. This, combined with its domestic performance, pushes the film’s gross worldwide total to a staggering 186.35 crore.

By Monday, Manjummel Boys became the first ever film in the Malayalam film industry to cross the Rs 200 crores mark at the box office. The film gained over Rs 29 crores across the globe by Monday and was marked as the first film to shatter Mollywood box office records.

In one of the most pivotal moments in the sensational Malayalam survival thriller Manjummel Boys, a flashback cuts to a close-up of actor Soubin Shahir. And just like that, the crowd in a packed screen in Chennai erupts cheerfully.

Manjummel Boys Plot and Cast

Based on a real-life incident that transpired in 2005, Manjummel Boys tells the story of how a vacation to Kodaikanal became a nightmare for a bunch of friends from Kochi when one of them unexpectedly fell into a crevice in the Guna Caves, a location infamous for several deaths and one that got the name after Kamal Haasan’s 1991 film Gunaa was shot there. If you have followed social media closely, the most pivotal aspect that catapulted the film to fame would seem obvious: the use of the famous ‘Kanmani Anbodu’ song from Gunaa.

Manjummel Boys is a production of Parava Films. It boasts a stellar ensemble cast comprising Soubin Shahir, Sreenath Bhasi, Balu Varghese, Ganapathi S Poduval, Lal Jr., and more. Audiences are in for a treat with the captivating musical arrangements orchestrated by the virtuoso Sushin Shyam.
