Now, it’s Manchu Vishnu’s turn again to land in a fresh controversy. His latest film is titled Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan, who was responsible for the division of India. As if adding salt to the injury, the title Jinnah was shown in the backdrop of Tirumala Hills, which Hindus consider very sacred. This move irritated a lot of Nationalists and many netizens too.
BJP leader Vishnu Vardhan Reddy fired on Vishnu and co alleging that this was a huge insult to Hindus and India. He reminded us that Jinnah was responsible for the deaths of millions of Hindus during the partition. On the other hand, Kona Venkat, one of the film’s makers, has a different explanation for this. He said that the hero’s name in the movie is Gali Nageswara Rao, and in short, he calls himself Jinnah. But even this explanation is being countered all over the social media sites, and in no way can Gali Nageswara Rao will become Jinnah. Kona has assured that they will discuss the title with other stakeholders and take measures accordingly.
