After the massive success of the KGF franchise, it seems like director Prashanth Neel is going to give another blockbuster with his upcoming movie Salaar. The Prabhas-fronted movie has already created quite a buzz among moviegoers. The highly anticipated movie will have a pan-India release later this year.
Now, a few reports claim that the film has already generated crores of rupees even before its release and now two OTT platforms have locked horns with each other because of the movie.
As Amazon’s Prime Video acquired the rights to both Prasanth Neel’s KGF and KGF2, it is heard that Prime also wants to grab the rights to Prabhas’ Salaar as well for sure. This OTT giant is ahead of everyone in the race, but suddenly, Netflix is also said to have jumped into the race to own the rights. It is said that Netflix is ready to offer almost 20-30% more than what Amazon will offer for Salaar rights. If we have to say, this film of Prabhas and Prashanth Neel is likely to get table profits from the digital streaming and satellite rights alone.
Salaar stars Rebel Star Prabhas and Shruti Haasan in key roles. The Telugu action drama is backed by Vijay Kiragandur’s banner Hombale Films. The movie will be released in multiple languages of Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam.
