Mahesh Babu, the ‘Prince of Tollywood,’ has earned a massive fan following not only with his charm but also with his dynamic acting and selection of diverse roles. He started his career as a child artist and rose to stardom. This push was given to him by his father, Krishna, who ruled Telugu cinema for several decades and was called the ‘Superstar’ of the Telugu film industry.
On 15 December 2023, Superstar Krishna passed away at the age of 79 due to a cardiac arrest. On the occasion of his first death anniversary, a prayer meeting was held in Hyderabad. Mahesh Babu, along with his wife Namrata Shirodkar and son Gautam, attended the prayer and paid their tribute. As the actor prayed to his father, netizens saw him getting emotional. Mahesh Babu posted his father Krishna’s picture on his X handle with the caption “Superstar, always and forever,” accompanied by a red heart, and his emotional Twitter post is trending on social media.
Mahesh Babu’s film Gunturu Karam, directed by our very own Trivikram Srinivas, will be a Sankranti gift to the audience as it hits theaters on 12 January 2024. In this movie, Mahesh Babu is paired for the first time with actresses Sreeleela and Meenakshi Chaudhary and with Thaman’s musical.
