A Vamsi Padipally directorial Maharshi stars Tollywood’s Superstar Mahesh Babu and Pooja Hegde. The film also features Allari Naresh, Jagapathi Babu, Kaikala Satyanarayana, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Prakash Raj, Jayasudha, Meenakshi Dixit, Ananya, Nassar, Sai Kumar, Rao Ramesh, Mukesh Rishi, Tanikella Bharani, Posani Krishna Murali, Srinivasa Reddy, Vennela Kishore, Kamal Kamaraju, Brahmaji.
The film is based on 3 best friends who meet at a university, each of them later due to various reasons end up departing from each other, but the protagonist appears to be the major reason behind their separation. The film strongly emphasises friendship, ambition, greed, power, human relationships and progress. This Business politics drama is made with a budget of approximately 130 crores, the film was a blockbuster which made around 200 crores at the box- office.
The film marks its 4th year in the industry, the Mahesh Babu starrer film was a commercially successful family entertainer. The idea of portraying the lifes of people who reside in the rural areas, and their struggles was well appreciated by various groups of masses. The film was bankrolled by Sri Venkateshwara Creations and the music for this Award-winning film was scored by Devi Sri Prasad.
