The three fashionable sisters were rumoured to skip this year’s Met Gala, but the Kardashian-Jenner kids showed up and as always, they didn’t disappoint! Socialite Kim Kardashian arrived dressed in a sparkling (and skimpy!) Schiaparelli’s haute couture ensemble (designed by Daniel Roseberry), which she referred to as “dripping in pearls” to the hosts. She was nothing short of a vision. This stunning outfit is said to be comprised of 16,000 crystals and 50,000 freshwater pearls.
The media entrepreneur admitted that by dressing herself entirely in pearls, she paid tribute to the late fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld. In addition to the pearl-heavy outfit, Kardashian also wore a statement choker, pearl earrings, and rings. She admitted, “I wanted pearls,” in a Vogue interview. What’s more, Karl? I questioned myself. You know, I’ve always pictured the famous Chanel pearls. So we wanted to be completely covered in pearls.
Kendall Jenner, the sister of Kim Kardashian, opted for a deliciously risky look for the yearly charity event. The 27-year-old model chose an ebony-coloured, sequined body suit by Marc Jacobs. Nothing covered her lower half; the outfit had floor-length sleeves and a platinum-coloured, crystal-encrusted collar. The socialite effortlessly displayed her slender legs and voluptuous derriere. She finished off the look with a pair of tall, black boots embellished with stars!
Wear red if you’re unsure. There is no better way to draw attention to yourself than by wearing something red! What Kylie Jenner did was that. The socialite looked stunning in a flaming red Jean Paul Gaultier dress with a thigh-high slit and an asymmetrical neckline! She accessorised the ‘classy vixen’ style with red heels and diamond stud earrings. She applied minimal makeup, just like her sisters, and let her outfit do the talking in terms of style.
The three sisters posed together and had a cordial conversation with Lala Anthony, who represents Vogue. Because I obviously love my sisters and my family, and because Kendall really started her modelling career with Karl and was the bride in so many of his shows, it makes me feel really emotional, Kardashian said to Anthony.
