Let’s decode Hellen Mirren’s unexpected film- GOLDA!

GOLDA

GOLDA is a documentary film written by Nicholas Main and directed by Guy Nattiv based on the real life of Israel Politician and prime minister Golda Meir, who helped to found the state of Israel.

The film perfectly depicts Golda’s leadership during the Munich massacre and hostage crisis, the terrorist attack on Israel Olympic team members at the 1972 Summer Games in Munich, and her decisive role in haunting the minds behind that horrific tragedy.

Helen Mirren is absolutely unrecognizable and fierce as Golda. Her character aesthetics and body language are brilliant; Her dialogue delivery is top-notch and authentic to the real-life Golda. Her expressions, makeup, and costumes are perfect; she is literally living in the shoes of Golda. Every dialogue is so excellent and articulates the emotions perfectly.  Mainly ”I will carry that pain to my grave” that tone and emotions are rare and regal.

Director Guy Nattiv hired mostly Israeli cast and crew, used real-life footage, and shot some of the film in Israel for authenticity. It’s always good to know about history. The trailer will hit you so hard. Golda is refined and authentic filmmaking and the best film of 2023 so far and is set to release on August 25 th, 2023.
