Legendary actor Kaikala Satyanarayana Garu is no more…

Senior Tollywood actor and former Politician Sri Kaikala Satyanarayana Garu died at his Jubilee Hills residence in Hyderabad in the early hours of Friday around 4. am, his family members stated.

The last rites will be performed on Saturday at Mahaprastanam in Jubilee hills, Hyderabad said the family members.

This veteran actor has 2 sons and 2 daughters. He was born on 25 July 1935 in Kavutaram, Andhra Pradesh. He has six decades of a long career in which he acted in more than 750 movies so far.

The senior actor is a close follower of Legendary actor Sr NTR, which gave him a chance to contest in the Lokshaba elections. Ultimately, he won the Parliamentary elections of the Machilipatnam constituency from the Telugu Desam Party. Later he withdrew from politics in 1998.

This legendary actor was first noticed by D. L. Narayana, who offered him a role in his film Sipayi Koothuru directed by Changayya in 1959.

Later on, he was backed by Sr NTR at starting of his career. He was roped in Apoorva Sahasra Siraccheda Chintamani in 1960, directed by S. D. Lal. Satyanarayana played the role of a prince. The role was offered by Sr NTR himself.

It was B. Vittala acharya who gave him the chance of negative shade. From then, he established himself in Villain roles.

He was awarded Lifetime Achievement Award in 2017, the Best feature film for Bangaru Kutumbam (1994), Raghupati Venkaiah Award in 2011 and many more…
