Karthi seen in eccentric avatar

The firstlook poster of Karthi’s upcoming film titled “Japan” has been released. Raju Murugan who won National Award for Joker which released in 2016, is directing Karthi’s 25th film after Sardaar. The shooting of the film commenced recently in Ramanathapuram. The film is based on a true incident in Tamilnadu.

The colourful poster has Karthi lazing around in a chair and another avatar of him dressed in an outfit in a golden shade, peeping out from a photo frame. He is also seen wearing a golden pendant that has the rupee symbol.

Taking this poster to social handle, Karthi had captioned the picture, “Excited to start this journey of a quirky guy! #Japan – Made in India #JapanFirstLook.

Anu Emmanuel plays the leading lady in the film and Telugu actor Sunil will be seen in a crucial role. GV Prakash Kumar’s music will be composed by Ravi Varma for the cinematography of the Japanese film. SR Prakashbabu is producing the film under Dream Warrior Pictures, which the label had earlier backed Karthi’s Saguni, Kashmora, Theeran Adhigaram Ondru, Kaithi and Sultan movies.

It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that Karthi has been riding on a high this year after scoring a hatrick with Viruman, Ponniyin Selvan-1 and Sardar. All three films opened to positive reviews from the audience and were declared as hits at the box office.
