Karan Johar is upset about Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi’s movie; Here’s why

Siddharth Malhotra’s Yodha is an action sequence movie by Dharma Productions, by the one and only, Karan Johar. The release date for the same was decided as December 15, 2023. However, as Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi enter, Karan Johar seems to be upset about keeping him unaware until the last minute. Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi are all set to star in Sriram Raghavan’s directorial Merry Christmas, a genre-defying tale which is set for December 15, 2023. The announcement was made on Monday, July 17.

In his recent post on Threads by Instagram, he said, “Clashing on a date without the courtesy of a phone call is hopefully not the way forwards for the studios and producers. If we don’t stand united in these tough and challenging theatrical days then calling us a fraternity is futile…”

In the comments, we see a negative opinion on Karan Johar’s post. One says, “finally someone didn’t feel the need to kiss kjo’s a** makes me want to watch merry christmas even more”, while the other quoted, “Didn’t he himself clash with ajay’s shivaay and even released simba a week post zero and even did negative pr campaigns against both”

“Billi behaviour by “Yoddha” makers. Live up to the title atleast. Fight, be a fighter”. The next one goes further down the spiral of hatred, “Not him talking about ‘courtesy’ though, his words depict fear n nothing less. I see Merry Christmas already winning in that sense.”

With this, we see countless trolls and roasts in the comments, calling him out for ‘getting the taste of his own medicine’ and being a ‘cry baby’. Which movie do you think will do better in theatres despite the release date clash? Do you think Merry Christmas team will change the date after this post?
