Kangana Ranaut: I am not just a Bollywood star

Once again, Kangana Ranaut is everywhere on social media. She responded to the former Rajya Sabha member Subramanian Swamy’s statement about her Y-plus security on the same day that she made fun of other Bollywood celebrities, including Karan Johar, and their exchanges on Twitter have gone viral.

After an altercation with Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut in which the actor compared Mumbai to Pakistan Occupied Kashmir and said there was a threat to her life in the city, the Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) granted Kangana Ranaut Y+ protection in 2020. Subramanian Swamy, a former member of the Rajya Sabha, brought up the subject once more on Twitter on Sunday.

He wrote on Twitter, “The SPG is aware of her whereabouts and has maintained track of them. I’m curious why, given that SPG has no business following Bollywood celebrities. She has a high level of security in her situation due to a unique dispensation.

I am not just a Bollywood star sir, I am also a very vocal and concerned citizen. I was the subject of political animosity in Maharashtra, and at my expense nationalists might form the government here, Kangana wrote in response. I also discussed the Tukde Gang and vehemently denounced Khalistani organisations. I’m a writer, producer, and filmmaker as well, and my next film Emergency features Operation Bluestar… My life is clearly in danger, therefore I asked for increased security… Is there a problem with this, Sir?
