Ulaganayagan Kamal Hassan and director Shankar’s Bharateeyudu is a classic. It has a cult following both in Tamil and Telugu movie audiences. At the ending of the first part, Shankar cleverly left the scope for making a sequel in the future. As his prowess for the past few movies declined, Shankar fell back on his classic to revive him from duds. But for reasons unknown, the movie team had faced difficulties in the shooting. A series of mishaps made the movie team stop the shoot. This led to the rumors that the movie was shelved just like Marmayogi, which never saw the light despite being shot. As Kamal is busy promoting his upcoming film Vikram, he was bombarded with questions regarding Bharateeyudu 2.
He assured the fans that everything was well between Shankar and Lyca Productions. After completing Ram Charan’s movie, the director will come back to Bharateeyudu sets, said the universal star. This indicates that the project is very much on track. Kajal Aggarwal, who recently gave birth to a baby, will star as the lead actress. Siddarth and Rakul Preeth Singh will also be essaying key roles.
On the other hand, Kamal also assured his fans that he would be making at least 2 or 3 movies per year. This is definitely good news, both for the fans and the movie industry. His latest project, Vikram, will be hitting the silver screens this Friday.
