Jon Favreau celebrates the 15th anniversary of Iron Man

Marvel Studios released Iron Man in 2008, a film that would cement the future of the studio and leave a lasting impact on film and pop culture.

”Iron Man” starring Robert Downy Jr as the most loved superhero Tony Stark, Iron Man released in 2008 without any expectations was a critical success and commercial success, helping to launch the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Iron Man was the beginning of everything, a new era for superheroes. Jon Favreau directed and produced the most profitable franchise, the Iron Man series, and starred as Happy Hogan, a friend of Tony Stark. He was critically acclaimed for his brilliant and outstanding direction and cinematography and took CGI to the next level in the franchise.  In 2019, He was named as ”Disney Legend” for his contribution to the Walt Disney Company. He also directed The Chef, Jungle Book, The lion king, Zathura the space centre and created the Star Wars original series ”The Mandarolian”.

To Marvel fans, Iron Man is not just a movie but it is their childhood and it is the heart of the Marvel Studios with out this film there is no franchise at all. To celebrate the 15th anniversary of Iron Man the two people who started the era, executive producer of Marvel Studios Kevin Feige and Jon Favreau take a look back at the film’s origins, and share their experience in making of the film.
