Jio Cinema, the newly originated OTT platform, has purchased digital rights to the highly anticipated movie “Dunki,” featuring Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan. The deal, which set a new record, was sealed for a staggering ₹150 crores. With Shah Rukh Khan playing a key role, the movie has generated immense excitement among fans and critics alike. Raj Kumar Hirani is the director of this Gauri Khan Production.
The numbers are huge between Jio Cinema and the film’s production company marking a major milestone in the Indian entertainment industry. It highlights the growing importance of digital platforms in movie distribution. It also reinforces Shah Rukh Khan’s position as one of Bollywood’s most successful actors. On the professional front, Srk is coming up with a new actioner titled Jawaan before Dunki. Jawaan was helmed by Tamil director Atlee and it stars Nayanatara and Vijay Sethupathi in lead roles.
