Jimin is a versatile singer and dancer. He worked hard to become what he is now. From childhood, he was passionate about dance so he joined the dance academy to learn contemporary dance. After seeing his talent, his teacher suggested an audition at an Entertainment company. He got training in singing and auditioned for the Big Hit and he successfully passed the audition with his talent.
He almost got cut from the BTS many times as a trainee which put much stress on him. He wanted to look fine for his fans so he took a strict diet as a result he lost 7 kg. He put his life into every performance. His sour throat made his singing difficult, yet he put all his efforts into giving the best.
He is now making his career as a soloist and he recently released the pre-release track ‘Set me Free part 2’ on March 17, 2023, off his upcoming highly anticipated solo debut album ‘FACE’, released on March 24, 2023. it outstripped the 250k sales units which gained him a Platinum Certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ), becoming the first K-Pop soloist in history to gain the RIAJ Platinum certification with a foreign language album.
Jimin maintained the 1st rank on Billboard’s digital sales for a second consecutive week. ‘Like Crazy’ maintained 1st rank on Billboard’s digital sales for the second week. Jimin is the first soloist to earn crowns in Oricon’s ‘Weekly Music Ranking’ this year.
