Jiah Khan suicide case: Sooraj Pancholi proved not guilty

Jiah Khan who was an English-American actress and singer primarily worked in Hindi films. She made her debut with Ram Gopal Varma’s Nishabd. Later she played an important role in the blockbuster hit film ‘Ghajini’. She then appeared in the Housefull movie along with Akshay Kumar, Ritesh Deshmukh and Arjun Rampal directed by Sajid Khan. The film got huge collections at the box office and Jiah received appreciation for her acting. That was the last film of hers.

In 2013, Jiah committed suicide by hanging herself in her room at her residence in Mumbai at the age of 25. A few days after her death, six pages of handwritten note was found by her sister in which there were allegations written against her boyfriend Sooraj Pancholi. Sooraj is an actor who made his debut in the Hero movie.

On that note, it was also mentioned that Sooraj used to physically abuse and torture her every time. CBI investigated the case. Jiah’s mother Rabia claimed that Jiah was in an abusive relationship with Sooraj. In 2017, Rabia wrote an open letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi slamming the CBI and seeking justice for her daughter. He was even arrested once.

After these many years, it’s been proven that Sooraj is not guilty of Jiah’s death. Sooraj posted an Insta story, ‘The TRUTH always wins!’. With the hashtag #GodIsGreat 🙏❤️.
