After a long wait, veteran Anchor Suma finally entered the movies through Jayamma Panchayati. Although she is a star on the small screen, that doesn’t seem to be transpiring onto the silver screen. A lot of celebs including Ram Charan, Pawan Kalyan, and Mahesh Babu had supported the movie. Suma herself promoted the film day and night. All this hard work didn’t pay off as there is no buzz anywhere about the movie. The film has hit the silver screens today(may 6) but not a word regarding the movie either on social media or in public.
Sri Vishnu’s Bhala Tandanana and Viswaksen’s Ashokavanamlo Arjuna Kalyana(AVAK) are the other films that were released today. According to the Tollywood sources, the controversy of Viswak has helped the AVAK to gain a positive report. Even though the stars have lent their hand to Sumakka, the entire industry is behind Viswak after him being targeted by a news channel. In a way, this sidelined the Jayamma, says the sources.
In a nutshell, Jayamma Panchayati is about a homemaker who finds herself in a dire situation, and in the process of overcoming hassles, she approaches the village panchayati. How did she get out of the hole is the gist of the story. Its written and directed by Vijay Kumar Kalivarapu and has the tunes of veteran musician MM Keeravani. Balaga Prakash bankrolled the project on the Vennela Creation banner.
