Jayam Ravi and composer AR Rahman teased fans with a first peek at Genie on their social media platforms.
The first look of Jayam Ravi from his next film Genie was published on Sunday. The actor and the rest of the team produced a poster that hinted at what the film would be like, leaving fans excited.
Ravi took to Instagram and posted, “First look at #Genie. A film that is unique and near to my heart. “Get ready for the magical experience,” Jayam stated, posting the poster on his X. Rahman commented, “Presenting the first look at @actor_jayamravi’s #Genie. “Get ready for an exciting fantasy ride and an immersive magical experience!!”
First look
Jayam appears in the new billboard dressed as a genie, his long hair in a bun. He may be seen emerging from a magic lamp as chains break free around him, showering everything from cupcakes to money and gold all about. The poster also depicts him as relieved and happy at his newfound freedom.
Debutant Bhuvanesh Arjunan directs the film while Ishari K Ganesh produces under Vels Films International. Jayam, Krithi Shetty, Kalyani Priyadarshan, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Devayani also star in the film, which has music by Rahman. The film is presently under production and is set to be released sometime this year.
Forthcoming films
In addition to Kamal Haasan’s Thug Life, Jayam has agreed to appear in the Tamil film Brother. There have recently been rumors that he and Dulquer Salmaan have both dropped out of the latter movie, which is directed by Mani Ratnam. However, neither the actors nor the film’s production crew have addressed the speculation.
