The jailer is continuing to shatter all the records one after the other. Defying all expectations, Much anticipated and critically acclaimed Jailer has taken the box office by storm cumulating 500 crores at the box office collection in just 10 days.
Jailer continues to entertain its audiences even in its second week clocking a massive collection of 18 crores at the box office. Weekends seeing growth with 88% occupancy than weekdays, Jailer brought 246 crores domestically while worldwide it managed to cross 500 crores.
The film created a new record by becoming the third film to achieve this feat after 2.0 and Ponniyin Selvan 2.0 in just 10 days and is the second fastest film of Kollywood to enter this club after 2.0.
Superstar Rajinikanth made his comeback with Jailer after two years of hiatus. The Jailer is a commercial action entertainer starring Rajinikanth as the main lead who plays a senior prison officer pursuing a brutal gang boss in the movie written and directed by Nelson Dilip Kumar.
Jailer also stars Ramya Krishnan, Vinayakan, Vasanth Ravi, Yogi Babu, and Tamannah Bhatia. Mohan Lal, Shivraj Kumar, and Jackie Shroff make their cameos in the movie produced by Sun Network.
