Since the talk about Gadar 2: The Katha Continues is out in the wild, bringing back the original cast Sunny Deol, famous for his comedy and action genre in Bollywood and Ameesha Patel, a beautiful Bollywood actress, directed under the guidance of Anil Sharma. Rewinding 2 decades, Gadar was a movie based on the 1971 India-Pakistan war(semi-fictional) where a Muslim girl from Pakistan lands in the house of an Indian Sikh. They get married and co-exist in harmony until the tables turn and Sakina’s father forces her to stay in Pakistan. This love story portrays how Sunny Deol (Tara Singh) reunites with his wife, proving love knows no boundaries.
However, because this movie was based on one of the most gigantic events in the history of India and Pakistan, the Ind0-Pak war of ’71, many people accused the film to be promoting communalism, where Tara Singh persuaded Sakina to convert to his religion whereas Sakina’s family was forcing him the other way around.
in 2023, this crew has come back with its sequel about which Ameesha Patel gave her two cents. In the video posted on Bollywood Bubble’s Instagram, she is saying that Gadar has only spread love, it brought every religion, caste, and creed together. Which big film speaks about a Muslim Pakistani marrying a Hindu, not forgetting Islam while the Hindu guy accepts Islam and respects it? She says, “I think movies like Gadar increase unity regarding religion and teach us that we must live together as a single unit. Gadar 2 is also along the lines.”

For the unversed, Gadar 2 traces the storyline of Gadar but with an extension, where Tara Singh returns to Pakistan to bring back his son, Charanjeet. It is set to release on August 11, 2023.
