Vijay Thalapathy has great expectations for his 66th movie. This Telugu-Tamil bilingual film has a special place in Vijay’s career. The Kathi star is acting directly in a Telugu movie for the first time. It’s noteworthy that many of the blockbusters in Vijay’s career were the remakes of Telugu films. But he never dared to act in the Tollywood for fear of acceptance. Now, as the Pan India trend is wide open and audiences of all languages accept actors of other languages, Vijay, at last, stepped into Tollywood to test his luck and widen his market.
Helmed by Vamsi Paidipally, the film is tentatively titled Thalapathy 66. To the excitement of Thalapathy fans, the title was recently leaked out. The talk is that the movie team has decided on Varasudu as the title in Telugu and Varissu in Tamil. The title might officially be announced on Vijay’s birthday, i.e, on the 22nd of this month. As it was already evident through the leaks, the film’s plot revolves around a family of which Vijay is the scion. Sources say that Vijay chose this film for a change as his past few movies were all mass masala over-the-top entertainers and he consciously wanted to get his family audience back with this movie.
