Munna Bhai MBBS and Lage Raho Munna Bhai are two of Sanjay Dutt’s greatest works that not just introduced him to the younger generation as an everlasting superstar, but also opened chambers of success for his co-actor Arshad Warsi. Based on how much both the movies are loved even today, we are still proudly living in 2003 and 2006.
The audience was on the top of their worlds after the rumours about Munna Bhai 3 began. Munna Bhai MBBS’s Arshad Warsi in his own words, describes that it’s ‘weird’. “Munna Bhai may not happen. This is the weirdest thing. We have a director who wants to make it, a producer who wants to produce it, an audience who wants to see it, actors who want to act in it and still it is not happening.” We have movies launching that neither the actors nor the audience has a tad bit interest in, but not Munna Bhai 3. What sorcery is this?
The reason? Rajkumar Hirani – the phenomenal Indian film industry director – is a perfectionist in the making. Warsi mentioned that he always has his phases ‘Let me fix the script, I like this but I dislike that’ and for the movie to shine in its glittery glory, Hirani takes a long time. Obviously, with the pain of waiting on him comes the gain of an awesome storyline and comic delivery. “He has 3 scripts which are brilliant but there are some glitches. So, till the time he is not 100-200 percent sure of the script, he won’t start it.” says the Asur 2 actor.
Based on on-screen Circuit’s words, whether the movie will happen or not is a 50-50 chance, depending on what rolls in Hirani’s mind.
