IMDb released its weekly list of Popular Indian Celebrities and on the top came out none other than beloved South actress, Samantha. She has beaten the likes of Allu Arjun and Pooja Hedge as she climbed her way to the first spot.
Samantha Ruth Prabhu is one of South’s top actresses. Making her debut in Vasudev Menon’s Telugu romantic film ‘Ye Maaya Chesave’, she has racked up heaps of accolades. In recent times, Samantha, who has predominantly only worked in the south has also ventured to Bollywood as she made her debut with the OTT series, The Family Man. With the release of the dance number, Oo Anta Va Mama in Pushpa alongside Allu Arjun, Samantha’s popularity knows no bounds.
After attending the premiere of Citadel with Varun Dhawan, the adored actress has created a lot of buzz and has been the talk of the town ever since. It seems like there is no end to her roaring popularity as she climbed up to the top from the 9th spot. Following the release of her recent flick, Skaakuntalam, Samantha is preparing for the global spy series, Citadel with Varun Dhawan and is also gearing up for the release of the Telugu movie, Kushi with Vijay Deverakonda.
According to the post made by IMDb India, Pooja Hedge ranked no. 5, Tanya Maniktala was ranked 6, Farhad Samji at 10, Allu Arjun at 17, Alaya F at 22, Dulquer Salman at 36, Bhumika Chawla at 37, Siddharth Nigam at 38 and Tamil director, Mani Ratnam at 46.
