Nikhil Siddartha’s Karthikeya 2 is seeing a massive demand in the distribution circles. According to the trade sources, the distributors are ready to pay more than Rs 15 Crores for the theatrical rights of the flick. Reportedly, the different storyline and the way director Chandoo Mondeti mysteriously weaves the screenplay have become the USP of the film. The recently released teaser trailer has garnered positive buzz all around, which could have also raised the hype for this sequel of Karthikeya. The Tollywood film circles are eager about the movie and expect it to have a good run at the box office.
Right from the time the first look was released, the film successfully created interest in the flick. The first part of the film revolved around the snakes and Lord Karthikeya. Now, in the second part, Chandoo Mondeti opted for the ever-intriguing Sri Krishna’s Dwaraka as his plot point. Already Victory Venkatesh’s Devi Putrudu was made on similar lines, though unable to catch up with the hype. But the makers of Karthikeya are sure they can live up to the expectations and deliver a blockbuster. Bollywood’s noted actor Anupam Kher has starred in a vital role, while Anupama Parameswaran, Srinivasa Reddy, and Viva Harsha will be seen alongside Nikhil Siddartha. The movie will hit the silver screens on the 22nd of next month.
