Tollywood comedian Prithvi Raj Balireddy has been having issues with his wife for a few years now. While he was accusing her of misunderstanding him and getting treated by her with disrespect, his wife Sri Lakshmi’s accusations were contrary. She called him out for ill treatment. Her argument is that he had forcefully sent her to her parent’s home along with her kids after being dependent on her parent’s money for decades. She approached the court to provide justice to her.
According to Sri Lakshmi’s accusations, Prithvi alias Seshu was married to her back in 1984. They have a son and a daughter. Both the couple are from Tadepalligudem in the West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh. They lived in Vijayawada when Seshu tried his luck in movies. He lived on the money her parents provided for them as there is no income from him whatsoever. As he got fame in the movies, Prithivi became more negligent of Lakshmi and finally, in 2016, he threw her out of the house along with their children. As she is currently living with her parents, she wanted to get back the investment they had incurred on him while he was jobless. She approached the Vijayawada family court with the same request.
As the arguments were finished recently, the court delivered the judgment that Prithvi should pay his wife Rs 8 lakhs per month as he himself is earning Rs 30 Lakhs. The case on him was filed on Jan 10th of 2017 and the alimony needs to be paid from that date. The payment should be done by the 10th of every month, said the court.
