Senior actresses Gautami who recently marked her come back with Samantha starrer ‘Shakunthalam’ is currently busy with a couple of Tollywood films like ‘Anni Manchi Sakunamule’, Ram – Boyapati movie and ‘Ustad Bhagat Singh’ in her pipeline. Recently, while talking in an interview, the actress shared her opinion on Tollywood films.
She said that she gets involved in every character she plays in any language but when it comes to acting in Telugu she feels like it is her home. “In the start of my career, the craze for independent movies was very high. Now, I feel that those days are back again,” said Gautami.
“Before moving away from the camera, I worked as a costume designer for 10 years. Now, I am back to acting again and I am busy with a couple of films. Being in front of the camera or behind the screen has become a habit of mine. I am also interested in writing but I have no idea when I will get into direction,” added Gautami. She also stated that people all over the world are discussing Tollywood as there are so many great movies coming from here and she is very proud of that. As a part of my profession, I travel to a lot of places but whenever I come to Hyderabad, it feels like I am in my hometown,” said Gautami.
