Here is a juicy update on Akshay Kumar’s ‘OMG 2’ trailer

Amit Rai’s directorial ‘Oh My God 2’ is set to hit the screens on August 11, just ten days from now. The film stars Pankaj Tripathi and Akshay Kumar in lead roles. However, one of the main issues surrounding the movie is the portrayal of Akshay Kumar’s character as Lord Shiva. Due to this, the Censor Board has requested 35 cuts in the film, suggesting a change in Akshay’s role to that of a messenger of Lord Shiva instead.

Despite the reported postponement of the release date, it has been revealed that the trailer for ‘OMG 2’ will be unveiled on social media in the coming days. There won’t be a trailer launch event for it, as the trailers for other movies like Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Pathaan’ and Alia Bhatt-Ranveer Singh’s ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ were also directly released on social media.

Earlier, it was disclosed that the trailer of ‘OMG 2’ has been given a U/A certification. The film, directed by Amit Rai, features Akshay Kumar as Lord Shiva, alongside Yami Gautam, Pankaj Tripathi, and Arun Govil of Ramayan fame.

Scheduled for the release on August 11, the satirical comedy-drama serves as a sequel to the 2012 hit film ‘OMG- Oh My God!’. The movie is produced by Cape of Good Films, Ashwin Varde, Vipul D Shah, and Rajesh Bahl, with Dr. Chandraprakash Diwedi serving as the creative producer, and Amalendu Chaudhary as the cinematographer.
