Megastar’s Gang Leader, the 1991 action entertainer, is said to be re-released on February 11 in the Telugu states. With the latest success of Waltair Veerayya, Mega fans are expected to take this as an extra bonanza and highly planned massive fan shows and celebrations all over. Unfortunately, the latest buzz is that the movie’s re-release has been postponed now. Technical issues are being cited as the reason behind the postponement.
Gang Leader film was an all-time blockbuster of Chiru which was blended with family sentiment, romance, excellent songs and a lot of kick-ass action sequences. Over the last three decades, the film has had a cult following for reviving the formula of commercial films and Chiranjeevi’s perception as an action hero.
Directed by Vijay Bapineedu, Gang Leader has Vijayashanti as the female lead. The film also stars Sarath Kumar, Murali Mohan, Anandraj and Rao Gopal Rao in supporting roles. Bappi Lahari is the music director of this movie,
