Prabhas is currently working on two action films, Salaar and Spirit, but he has also begun filming for a more light-hearted entertainer directed by Maruthi. In a recent interview, the film’s cinematographer, Karthik Palani, stated that the film with Maruthi is a fun and easy-going film that is quite different from the intense action films Prabhas is currently working on.
Prabhas’ decision to work on a more light-hearted film could be a wise move as fans want to see him in roles similar to those in his previous films, such as Bujjigadu, Mr. Perfect, and Darling.
However, Maruthi’s last film, Pakka Commercial, failed, and he has never directed a big film with a big star. Directing a star like Prabhas is a significant task, and Maruthi’s recent form has not been great. It will be challenging for him to deliver a film that satisfies both Prabhas’ fans and the general audience.
The fans really want to see Prabhas get back to his comfort zone and grab success, but at the same time, they are also concerned about his star image.
